Apple has confirmed that it intends to introduce a new feature that will allow contactless payments to be made using iPhones.
Apple introduces a new option thanks to which iPhones will become mobile payment terminals.
Customers will be able to pay for purchases by bringing a payment card or their own phone closer to their smartphone.
The brand assures that the new option will enable “hassle-free and secure acceptance of Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets with a simple touch of an iPhone.”
The new function will primarily benefit small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. From now on, they will be able to accept contactless payments on smartphones – from the iPhone XS model to the latest devices thanks to NFC technology. To complete the transaction, you will need a mobile application that will be made available by Apple.
