Facebook: Has 15,000 content moderators worldwide. This is what Siobhan Cummiskey, Meta’s content director, until recently of Facebook, says.

After the testimony of the whistleblower Frances Haugen, who provided evidence that her former employer, Facebook, knew about the many negative effects of its business model, there was a lot of talk about the need to introduce regulations. Haugen herself suggested creating a platform regulator and changing the way news is displayed from algorithm-based to chronological.

Other, large digital platforms also arouse consternation with the pace of their growth, but above all with how strong, sometimes even monopolistic, position they have gained in other markets and what they use it for.

What else, in a practical sense, is Facebook planning to do to be a safer place for users, and at the same time more transparent?
